ABOUT
Caroline Jewell is a performing artist, dance instructor, and studio administrator with a passion for dance education and community development. Jewell obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. While at the conservatory she explored dance training, performance, research and teaching alike.
Now she works as a ballet and modern instructor, and in between classes she works as a studio administrator and social media coordinator in the greater Boston area.


EDUCATION & TRAINING

BOSTON CONSERVATORY
AT BERKLEE
In 2017, Caroline began her Conservatory education at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. At the Conservatory she had the privilege to study with professors such as Diane Arvanites, Russell Clarke, Olivier Besson, Alissa Cardone, Gianni Di Marco, Danielle Davidson, Kurt Douglas, Brian McGinnis, Marissa Parmenter, Daniel Pelzig, Denise Pons, Adriana Suarez, Jim Viera, Dean Vollick, Ruka White and Mary Wolff. She graduated in the spring of 2021 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance.
PIEDMONT SCHOOL OF MUSIC AND DANCE
During her twelve years of training at Piedmont School of Music and Dance with Rebecca and Daniel Wiley, she focused on ballet technique, pointe, modern, contemporary and jazz. In addition to training, Jewell performed countless classical ballets such as the Nutcracker, Cinderella, La Bayadere, and Snow White.


THE JUILLIARD SUMMER DANCE INTENSIVE
Caroline received the opportunity to attend the Juilliard Summer Dance Intensive in 2015 & 2016. It was at Juilliard where she discovered a passion for performing contemporary work after being exposed to Spencer Dickhaus and Bret Easterling’s choreography, as well as finding an interest in studying in a Conservatory setting.

Loni Landon's work was performed in Boston Conservatory at Berklee's fall show in 2019. Jewell was given the opportunity to perform a featured duet and quartet in this piece about leaving and finding one another.

In the Conservatory's 2019 spring dance concert Limitless, Jewell was a part of the classical ballet, Paquita. In Paquita Caroline worked on her corps de ballet skills and had the opportunity to dance two variations.

In Joseph Toonga's contemporary hip hop piece which premiered in the 2018 From the Ground Up concert at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Jewell experienced a whole new style of dance. In this piece she was given a featured duet that contributed to a piece about conveying the strength and physicality of women.
